Thermo Application
Lenzing fibers demonstrate their strength in the winter
Lenzing fibers are ideal for figure-hugging products. TENCEL® has an edge on other fibers due to its excellent moisture management and Lenzing Modal® gets itself noticed since it is exceptionally soft on the skin. Blending these fibers with others helps to create textiles which are just perfect for thermo applications. The outcome is the perfect combination of comfort and a cozy warmth.
The warmth of a blend
When it comes to warm clothes, wool has to be the number one choice. However, the addition of Lenzing Modal® and TENCEL® can noticeably improve the properties of wool. Textiles become softer and more supple. And in blends with for example acrylic and polyester, Lenzing fibers lead to tangible improvements. With all blending variations, the outcome is a clear improvement in performance.
Lenzing fibers improve the blend.
Versatile warmth
TENCEL® has a high tenacity which means that mechanical finishing processes, such as roughening and emerizing, can be used without any difficulty. Other processing techniques such as double-face constructions can also be used to introduce warmth to the textile. In double-face structures, TENCEL® is used on the side next to the skin to take advantage of the skin friendliness and perfect moisture management. The face of the fabric then guarantees warmth and insulation thanks to this blending partner.
Different processing techniques can be used on thermo fabrics with Lenzing fibers.
extra properties lead to an overall improvement
Adding TENCEL® makes fabrics particularly absorbent and ensures a pleasant feeling on the skin due to skin-sensory properties. Lenzing Modal® is by nature particularly soft and supple. Lenzing fibers can be used to enhance textiles of wool, polyester and acrylic.
The tried and tested properties of Lenzing fibers such as softness and moisture management make their mark in thermo fabrics.
Botanic warmth
Lenzing fibers come from Nature. They are made of wood and botanic principles are applied throughout processing as a whole. The use of TENCEL® and Lenzing Modal® takes thermo textiles that little bit closer to Nature.
